Sustainability at Nova Shipyard is not a policy document. It is a practical commitment embedded in how we design vessels, manage our yard, and support our clients in meeting their own environmental obligations.

We hold ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System certification, providing a structured framework for identifying, managing, and continuously improving our environmental performance across all yard operations.

Nova Shipyard operates a disciplined waste management system covering all production activities metalworking, surface treatment, painting, and outfitting. 

Hazardous materials are handled, stored, and disposed of in compliance with national and international environmental regulations. We monitor our environmental footprint and work continuously to reduce it.

The most significant environmental contribution a shipyard can make is in the vessels it puts to sea. Nova Shipyard develops and integrates full-electric and hybrid E-Propulsion solutions across all vessel types, with particular focus on operations in emission-controlled areas such as the North Sea and Northern European waters.

Our propulsion engineering process covers duty cycles, peak and hotel loads, and operational turnaround constraints, ensuring that the systems we deliver achieve genuine emissions reductions in real operating conditions, not just on paper.
